SPIRAL offers Chinese Language and Culture camps using an online-offline hybrid model. We also offer a fully virtual daily summer session for students at home. Our programs are led by experienced teachers and emphasize participation and experiential learning.
Our in-person summer Chinese Language and Culture Camps offer half-day programming for school-age students. Classes are taught by our online teachers, with in-person support provided by camp staff. Students spend part of each session in language study, including review activities and games. Each day there will also be a fun hands-on cultural activity that combines cultural and historical knowledge with activities like crafts, games, or collaborative work. Each week of camp introduces a new cultural theme. Camps run for one or multiple weeks. Language classes are adaptive to the students.
Cultural themes may include:
- Arts and Crafts
- Games
- Food
- Festivals
- Geography and Wildlife
- Movies and Music
- Inventions
Online Chinese Language and Culture Camps are designed for students to attend from home. Daily sessions run for 60-90 minutes. Online camps consist of small groups of 6-10 students.
Schedule, class times, and themes are customizable for groups or organizations that would like to run these camps and can guarantee of minimum of 6 students.
