SPIRAL now developing curriculum for international schools

SPIRAL International is pleased to announce the creation of an ambitious new venture. We have put together a Curriculum Development Task Force to develop programs of study for international schools which need pre-AP curriculum materials aligned to the College Board’s new AP Capstone Diploma Program. Project Manager Jeff Maher, current SPIRAL Consultant, has recruited three highly experienced educators to create educational resources in the academic areas of Math, Science, English/Language Arts, History, and college counseling & admissions. The resulting curriculum package will be a component of a broader “International School Design Template.”

We welcome the following professionals to our SPIRAL team as part of this exciting initiative:

Dr. John Tapper, Assistant Professor at the University of Hartford, is a well-known throughout New England as an expert in the areas of mathematics education, closing the achievement gap, and general curriculum development.

Dr. Valerie Sullivan, Curriculum Director at the Lamoille South Supervisory Union, is highly regarded for her work in science education, systems analysis and general curriculum development, and is at the forefront of Vermont’s work with proficiency-based education and learning plans.

Mrs. Amy McArdle, Stowe High School, is an accomplished and experienced guidance counselor. She is skilled in the areas of college admission and counseling, academic planning, programs of studies, college recruitment and outreach, use of Naviance, and overall high school guidance operations.

Over the next six months this team will be working to produce a draft 1.0 of a SPIRAL International School Curriculum Package. We will keep you informed as product development evolves, and we welcome your inquiries.
