February 2017: winter sports and the Chinese New Year v2

All of SPIRAL International’s long-term students celebrated the Chinese New Year with their host families and American friends. The students showed the American families and friends how to prepare traditional Chinese dumplings. Always a big success!

SPIRAL students in East Lyme Connecticut experienced two genuine snowstorms in February with up to 9 inches (22 cm) of snow and temperatures down to 14°F (-10°C). This was a totally new experience for kids coming from the tropics. They helped their host families shovel snow, and discovered the joys of tubing.
