SPIRAL International recently established a partnership with Guizhou Education Association for International Exchange (GEAIE). GEAIE is a social organization supported by the provincial government of Guizhou Province. The goal is to support the government’s policy of “opening up” education by promoting international exchange and collaboration in education among all schools at various grade levels throughout the province. GEAIE currently has 180 members, including schools and individuals. GEAIE is also an executive member of the Board of Directors for China Education Association for International Exchange that is affiliated with the Chinese Ministry of Education. GEAIE is ranked as a 4-star social organization in Guizhou Province.
Working with GEAIE, SPIRAL currently is organizing a number of international education exchange programs for 2024 and beyond. These include the following:
- Service-learning programs for American students to take place in Guizhou, China
- Professional development trips to China for American teachers of Chinese language and culture.
- With the help of GEAIE, SPIRAL will also provide opportunities for American schools and universities to form high school dual-diploma programs and graduate and undergraduate joint-degree programs with schools in China.
